Here's how it works for Self-Employed:
As a Self-Employed worker at Halton Care Agency, you operate as an independent contractor. This means you are responsible for managing your own taxes, National Insurance contributions, and other financial matters.​ You have more flexibility in terms of your working hours and the clients you choose to work with.​ You will invoice Halton Care Agency on a weekly basis for the services you provide. The agreed rate is up to £14.50 per hour.

It's important to ensure that you comply with UK legislation regarding self-employment, including tax and employment laws. We can support you with this process and provide you with some training and tools to make this process as simple as possible.

HERE'S HOW IT WORKS FOR PAID CARE WORKER:
​As a paid Care Worker at Halton Care Agency, you are employed by the agency. This means you are entitled to certain employment rights and benefits, such as holiday pay, sick pay, and you may be entitled to pension contributions.

Your working hours and assignments will be determined by the agency, and you may be required to work a set schedule or be assigned to specific clients.

You will be paid an hourly rate of £13.00 for the care services you provide.
​
Your tax and National Insurance contributions will be deducted at source by the agency, and you will receive regular pay.

It's important for individuals to carefully consider their employment status and the implications of each option before making a decision. They should also seek professional advice if they have any questions or concerns about their employment arrangements.

DOMICILIARY CARE SHIFTS:
07:00 to 15:00: Morning shift, providing care and support to clients during the early part of the day.
15:00 to 23:00: Evening shift, offering assistance and care in the late afternoon and evening
07:00 to 23:00: Full-day shift, covering a longer period,providing continuous care & support throughout the day
20:00 or 22:00 to 08:00: Overnight shift, ensuring that clients receive care and support during the night hours

Care Facility Shifts (Hospitals, Care Homes and Nursing Homes):​
In care facilities such as hospitals, care homes, and nursing home - Shifts typically run from:​
08:00 to 20:00: Day shift, providing care and support to residents or patients during the daytime hours
20:00 to 08:00: Night shift, ensuring continuous care and support for residents or patients throughout the night
